Breve actualización / Brief update
El disco está ya subido a jamendo, y ahora sólo falta que sea publicado. Habitualmente ésto lleva unos pocos días, pero depende de la cantidad de álbumes que haya en espera, y me parece que son bastantes. Por supuesto, tan pronto como sea publicado colgaré los enlaces.

El astronauta (2): Escenarios / The astronaut (2): Stages
Aquí os muestro las fotos o representaciones de algunos de los lugares donde transcurre la historia de "El Astronauta". Por supuesto, todos ellos son reales. He intentado que todos los datos astronómicos que se mencionan en el disco (Distancias, especialmente) fuesen reales.

El astronauta (1): Orígenes y Estructura / The astronaut: Origins and Structure
Nota: A partir de este post empezaré a escribir los textos en español e inglés, ya que no me convence la traducción automática de google. Iré poco a poco traduciendo también las entradas antiguas.
El origen del astronauta debe estar alrededor del año 94. Por aquel entonces me gustó mucho una poesía de Pablo Neruda llamada, precisamente, “El astronauta”, y escribí una pequeña suite de piezas cortas, de unos trece minutos, como findo musical para recitar la poesía. Al final me quedé con la música, pero no usé el poema. Unos años más tarde realicé una seguna versión de la suite, con algunos pasajes nuevos, de unos veintitantos minutos. Esta versión ya contenía, en una forma primitiva algunos de los temas de la versión definitiva (“Hibernación”, “Hic Sunt Dracones”, “La Nebulosa Trífida”, “El Funeral” y “El descenso”). Cuando por fin empecé a plantearme revisitar la obra a principios de este año volví a escuchar todo el material viejo, rescaté otros temas compuestos en los últimos años y compuse otros nuevos.
Escribí un pequeño relato que funcionase como conductor de la música. De algún modo, los fragmentos narrados sirven para poner un marco a lo que los fragmentos musicales sugiera a cada oyente. Mientras acompañamos a Primogénito en su viaje cada uno hará un viaje parecido pero único y diferente.
Para esos pequeños fragmentos narrados improvisé pequeñas piezas de música ambiental, de modo que durante todo el disco se escucha música, pero se alternan las transmisiones de Primogénito con los temas musicales largos.

I also wrote a small tale that worked like a driver to the music. In some way, the narrated fragments try to put a frame to what the musical excerpts should suggest to each listener. While we accompany First Born in his trip, each one will do an alike but unique and different trip.
As a background for these small narrated fragments I improvised small pieces of environmental music, so that during all the disk there’s music playing, but First Born transmissions alternate with the long musical pieces.
